A Trump-nominated federal judge ruled against the administration in a Minnesota case over local immigration policy, a Monday filing said.
The Trump administration asserted in the filing that Minnesota sanctuary laws violate the Constitution's Supremacy Clause.
The filing said the Supremacy Clause "states that federal law must be supreme to state and local law."
