Louisiana Senate Bills

SCHOOLS: Creates and provides for a task force to study the minimum foundation program formula and recommend permanent, predictable funding for pay raises for teachers and support staff.

MUSEUMS: Directs the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, in consultation with the Louisiana State Museum Board and the National WWII Museum, to conduct a study on the feasibility of establishing a museum and trail dedicated to the Louisiana Maneuvers.

CONGRESS: Memorializes Congress and the administration of United States President Donald Trump to pass the Major Richard Star Act.

LEGISLATIVE FISCAL OFC: Requests the legislative auditor to examine and evaluate the process of creating fiscal notes during the legislative session.

ROADS/HIGHWAYS: Urges DOTD to evaluate all school zones on state highways.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH: Requests the Louisiana Department of Health and Louisiana commercial health insurance payors to increase reimbursement rates for behavioral health crisis centers operating under a crisis receiving center license.

CONGRESS: Memorializes Congress to act to lower the insurance rates based on fifty percent completion of the Comite Diversion Canal Project.

CULTURE: Designates the "Peggy Martin Rose" as the state rose.

CONGRESS: Memorializes Congress to authorize and fully fund the Mississippi River Basin Fishery Commission Act.

INTERNATIONAL COMMERCE: Establishes the Louisiana-Ireland Trade Commission.

CONGRESS: Memorializes Congress to ensure the timely passage of appropriation measures that fully fund and align with the National Defense Authorization Act.

HEALTH CARE: Requests the surgeon general to develop a plan relative to informed consent.

EDUCATION DEPARTMENT: Creates the Work-Based Learning Coordination Task Force.

CONGRESS: Memorializes the United States Congress to compel the Department of Justice to release all unclassified documents, videos, images and materials related to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
