New Jersey House Bills

Authorizes NJ Infrastructure Bank to expend certain sums to make loans for Community Hazard Assistance Mitigation Program projects for FY2027.

Prohibits payment of subminimum wage due to age, disability, injury, or status as apprentice, learner, or student through special license issued by DOLWD.

Requires boards of education to adopt policy on use of artificial intelligence; requires DOE to establish model policy.

Establishes Small Business Resiliency Project Loan Program in EDA for certain small businesses implementing certain resiliency projects.

Clarifies MVC voter registration prompts for certain persons.

Mandates insurance coverage for pain management services related to outpatient gynecological procedures.

Modifies additional fee and taxes imposed on certain real property transfers valued over $1 million; expands imposition of fees and taxes to real property classified Industrial Property and certain Apartments.

Requires owner of transient accommodation to be present at transient accommodation during short-term rental; establishes short-term rental agreement limit.

Requires additional notice of certain penalties for voter fraud.

Designates November of each year as "New Jersey Homeless Children and Youth Awareness Month."

Prohibits municipalities from requiring certain plan approval related to addition of up to five van accessible parking spaces to existing parking facilities.

"End Data Center Tax Credits Act"; authorizes BPU to issue tax credits for energy storage projects; establishes temporary gross income tax credit to certain residential ratepayers; reduces tax credits available for Next New Jersey Program.

Requires funds received by NJ from lawsuits in which AG participated be held in escrow by certain financial institutions.

Establishes "LGBTQIA+ Pride Month" in New Jersey.

Repeals codification of AG directive, "Strengthening Trust Between Law Enforcement and Immigration Committee."

Establishes Office of Interagency Cooperation in DCA to enhance local level code enforcement.

"New Jersey Energy Security & Affordability Act"; permits electric public utilities to own, operate, develop, or otherwise procure generation in certain circumstances.

Repeals law prohibiting collection and sharing of certain personal information.
