Version ISThis Act may be cited as the Earth MRI Reauthorization Act of 2026.
Section 40201(c)(1) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (43 U.S.C. 31l(c)(1)) is amended by striking the semicolon at the end and inserting the following: , which may include data derived from modern sensing technologies, including digital geochemistry and other advanced geochemical characterization methods, real-time or near real-time data acquisition systems, and data-driven analytical methods to improve the characterization of critical mineral, geothermal, natural hydrogen, and other subsurface resource systems;.
Section 40201(g) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (43 U.S.C.31l(g)) is amended—
by redesignating paragraph (5) as paragraph (6);
in paragraph (4), by striking and after the semicolon; and
by inserting after paragraph (4) the following:
the 3D Hydrography Program; and
Section 40201(h) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (43 U.S.C.31l(h)) is amended by striking 2022 through 2026 and inserting 2027 through 2031.
