Version ISThis Act may be cited as the WIPP Economic Assistance Assurance Act of 2026.
Section 15(a) of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant Land Withdrawal Act (Public Law 102–579; 106 Stat. 4791; 110 Stat. 2854) is amended—
in the subsection heading, by striking 14-year authorization and inserting In general; and
in the first sentence—
by striking each of the 14 fiscal years beginning with; and
by inserting and each fiscal year thereafter through the fiscal year during which transuranic waste shipments to or from WIPP have been terminated before the period at the end.
