Version IHThis Act may be cited as the Disaster Ready Infrastructure Act of 2026.
Section 134(i)(2) of title 23, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:
An identification of—
which existing transportation facilities are most vulnerable to any type of natural disaster that occurs frequently in the area served by the metropolitan planning organization;
which such facilities are most necessary to maintain operation of during a natural disaster or soon thereafter; and
the improvement projects necessary to maintain such operation.
Section 135(f) of title 23, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:
The statewide transportation plan shall include an identification of—
which existing transportation facilities are most vulnerable to any type of natural disaster that occurs frequently in the State;
which such facilities are most necessary to maintain operation of during a natural disaster or soon thereafter; and
the improvement projects necessary to maintain such operation.
