Version IHSection 609(a)(2) of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (20 U.S.C. 1408(a)(2)) is amended—
in subparagraph (A), by inserting (which may be extended by the Secretary in accordance with subparagraph (C)) after 4 years ;
by redesignating subparagraph (C) as subparagraph (D); and
by inserting after subparagraph (B) the following:
The Secretary may—
in accordance with clause (ii), grant an extension of the period of a waiver granted to a State under subparagraph (A); and
grant more than 1 such extension to a State.
Each extension granted pursuant to clause (i) may not exceed a period of 4 years.

by redesignating subparagraph (C) as subparagraph (D); and
by inserting after subparagraph (B) the following:
The Secretary may—
