Version IHThis Act may be cited as the Harry Lew and Danny Chen Military Justice Reform Act.
The Secretary of Defense, in coordination with the Joint Service Committee on Military Justice, shall analyze the feasibility and advisability of, and develop recommendations with respect to, modifying chapter 47 of title 10, United States Code (the Uniform Code of Military Justice), to establish a separate punitive article on hazing. As part of such analysis, the Secretary shall develop a proposed definition of the term hazing for purposes of such article.
Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report on the results of the analysis under subsection (a).
