Version IHThis Act may be cited as the Immigration Notification for Facility Oversight and Relocation Management Act of 2025 or as the INFORM Act of 2025.
In the case of any individual detained by the Secretary of Homeland Security pursuant to the immigration laws (as such term is defined in section 101(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act) at a facility, notice must be provided to the immediate family of that individual not later than 24 hours after that individual is transferred to a different facility. The notification shall include—
the reason for transfer; and
the name, address, phone number, and a point of contact for the new facility.
For purposes of this Act:
The term immediate family includes each—
parent;
sibling;
child; and
spouse.
The term facility includes any detention center or real property temporarily used for purposes of housing individuals detained under the immigration laws.
