SB 1416
Referred
SB 1416 - Current law prohibits certain uses of electronic communication devices while operating a noncommercial motor vehicle or commercial motor vehicle on any highway or property open to the public for vehicular traffic in this state, and preempts the entire field of regulating the use of electronic communication devices by the operators of commercial and noncommercial motor vehicles. This act modifies such preemption provision by allowing local ordinances and regulations that do not conflict with provisions of state law. This act is identical to HS/HCS/HBs 3068 & 3049 (2026), HCS/HB 2742 (2026), and HB 2055 (2026). TAYLOR MIDDLETON
