SB 1160 - This act repeals the provision that the penalty for murder in the first degree may be death. This act also repeals all provisions relating to jury trials in which the death penalty is not waived. This act is identical to SB 465 (2205), HB 843 (2025), and HB 1882 (2024) and is substantially similar to HB 118 (2025) and HB 994 (2025). TRISTAN BENSON, JR.
