SB 1009 - Under the act, at least one member of the Clean Water Commission shall be knowledgeable concerning the needs of publicly owned wastewater treatment works. The act repeals a provision relating to the Commission members' income. The act further provides that the Commission shall establish rules of procedure specifying when members shall exempt themselves from participating in discussions and from voting on issues due to any conflict of interest. The act is identical to HCS/HB 488 (2025), HB 1885 (2026), and similar to a provision in HCS/SB 953 (2026). JULIA SHEVELEVA
